We promote the mental, physical and social benefits of recreational fishing, introducing new folks and reuniting old, to the joys and wonders of the angling experience.
We turn interested viewers into engaged anglers by showing how easy and accessible fishing really is. All you need is fishing tackle and someone to show you the way.
We help develop fishing clubs within communities and schools by donating fishing tackle, featuring local community leaders on television and encouraging support through social media.
No matter how different people’s lives are, everyone experiences the same feelings when fishing: It’s meditative, exciting, introspective, and social all at once. When I created Lunkerville after 9/11, I wanted to show people how fishing is a fun and accessible stress reliever, and that anyone could do it, even a guy like me from Manhattan. Today, with mental health and social wellness at stake for so many, I’m more driven than ever to get folks fishing and share the sport’s wellness benefits. Starting the GFF Foundation is my way of focusing attention on the importance of mental health, and having my TV show send that message out into the world so people realize fishing isn’t only about catching the biggest fish, but good health.
18+ year running fishing lifestyle TV series broadcast on Discovery Channel, World Fishing Network, Sportsman Channel Canada and streamed on Amazon Prime Video, MOTV, Fishing TV and Waypoint Outdoor TV.
